This policy explains what personal information Nordic Dynamic ehf. (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit thesnoozle.com or mysnoozle.com (the “Site”) or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

Who we are

Nordic Dynamic ehf. is the data controller. We are an Icelandic company, registered at Bræðratunga 16, 200 Kópavogur, Iceland. Our US affiliate, Nordic Dynamic LLC, fulfils orders from a warehouse in the United States. You can reach us at thesnoozle@thesnoozle.com.

What we collect and why

Device and browsing information. When you visit the Site we collect information such as your browser, IP address, time zone, the pages and products you view, how you arrived at the Site and how you use it. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. We use it to run the Site, to understand how it is used and to improve it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the Site, and your consent where local law requires it for non-essential cookies.

Order information. When you buy something we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and payment details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal and the payment methods offered at checkout) and never stored on our own systems. We use order information to process your order, take payment, ship your parcel, send order and shipping confirmations, handle returns and answer your questions. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligations for accounting and tax.

Customer service information. If you email us or use the contact form we keep your message and our reply so we can help you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing customer service.

Marketing. If you sign up for our emails or tick the marketing box at checkout, we use your email address to send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Legal basis: your consent.

Reviews. If you leave a product review we publish the review text, your rating and the name you choose to display. Legal basis: your consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the business: Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes payments; our payment providers; our warehouse and shipping partners, so that your parcel can be delivered; our email service, for order emails and, if you have consented, marketing emails; our reviews provider; and analytics and advertising services (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta), which may set cookies on your device where you have consented to them. Each of these providers processes your information under their own privacy terms and, where they act on our behalf, under a data processing agreement with us.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

We are based in Iceland, part of the European Economic Area. Our warehouse, and some of our service providers, are in the United States. Where your information leaves the EEA or the United Kingdom we rely on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, including those in Shopify’s data processing terms.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as accounting and tax law requires, which is seven years in Iceland. We keep marketing consents until you withdraw them. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (for example the shopping cart and checkout), analytics cookies that tell us how the Site is used, and, where you consent, advertising cookies. When you first visit from the EEA or the United Kingdom you can choose which optional cookies to allow, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. You can also control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to send it to you or another provider, and object to or restrict how we use it. If you have given consent you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email thesnoozle@thesnoozle.com. We will answer within one month.

If you live in the EEA or the United Kingdom and are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority or to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is).

If you live in California, the rights above cover the rights given to you by the CCPA, including the right to know, the right to delete and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Children

The Site is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. Shopify uses limited automated checks to prevent fraud at checkout, which do not have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
